What does STEAM mean?

S.T.E.A.M.?  What is that? Maybe you are thinking in a special room full of steam where you can relax, but you are wrong because  this new word comes from  STEAM Education   that according to the Institute For Arts Integration " is an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking " ( https://artsintegration.com/what-is-steam-education-in-k-12-schools/)                                  S for Science                                  T for Technology                                  E for Engineering                           ...

Very Special Thanks for our volunteer Anna Milles

Anna Milles, a very special volunteer...

She is Anna Milles and she is an AFS volunteer that came from Germany to help us all the time with a big smile on her face, she participated in our Seminarist English Club for ten months and she shared with all the students of the different groups leaving a pleasant memory in them.

She taught us a lot of new things about her country, we had the opportunity to talk about places, customs and food from her hometown, she even share with us some particular sweets from Germany that she received from her parents that visited her once.

One of the last activities that we were able to enjoy with her was to learn how to play KorfVal a new sport that is practiced in Germany and as always she had the best attittude to teach us.

She returned to Germany these last days of January with many different and special experiences in our country.

Thank you Anna for all of the time with us, we are going to miss you and we hope you could have the best experiences wherever you are.
